Oh Happy Day (or night as the case may be.)

Last night at around 10.30, my 8 year old son, Brodie, came out of his room. He was reading a Goosebumps book and wanted help on reading a word. The word was 'canoe'. He pronounced it 'cano'. We had a good chat about how reading helps him learn to spell ( Read more... )

Has he read One Day at Horrorland, The Headless Ghost or The Abominable Snowman of Pasadena? He can have mine, if you can give me about $8 to cover postage.

Anyway, get him on the CHERUB series by Robert Muchamore when you think he's old enough (YA). I love reading them, and I think boys would love it, too. (Never mind that I'm an adult female ;-) )

Have a lovely day! :-)

Oh lovely.
He already has One Day at Horrorland. But will gladly take the other two. I'm pretty sure I still have your bank details in my files.
Just checked, and yes I do.

I will transfer it over tonight.

Do you have any other books you are willing to part with? Even for another YA adult.

Let me know.

Thanks very much dear.

As you can probably guess, my YA books are rather girly, so I doubt Brodie will be interested. You, on the other hand ( ... )

Ah it's a shame I live in the UK I have some Goosebumps you could have had. Sigh! When i have kids, they will read! That's one of the reasons I kept my SV books (if my first child is a boy, tough luck on him :-)!)

My daughter will most definitely be reading SV books. When she's 13. By then she will already be in high school and have high expectations. I just hope 1bruce1 is still accessible so she can read the book, then read the snark.
