So, Emma has been running around with out a nappy.

Leaving little wet patches everywhere.

Yesterday, being a warm day, I left her nappy free for most of the day.

She had a jolly old time running around outside with her cute butt on show.

Usually at this time of year I get a big break from the boys. Alan picks them up Friday after school. They have Monday off and Tuesday is Melbourne Cup day.  Alan's family have a big party on Cup day and have betting pools on all the races. I get to have fours days of just Emma and me. I relax, get a lot done and enjoy the quiet.

I am Spring Cleaning. Going crazy washing seldom used dishes at the moment. I have double sinks. One sink has water and plastic dishes for Emma to 'wash'.

Her water went cold. I finished washing and went outside for a smoke. While I was gone, Emma transferred all her dishes into my sink. Warmer water. Clever girl. God I love that kid.

 Last night at around 10.30, my 8 year old son, Brodie, came out of his room. He was reading a Goosebumps book and wanted help on reading a word. The word was 'canoe'. He pronounced it 'cano'. We had a good chat about how reading helps him learn to spell ( Read more... )
