What you need is a bunch of helpful folks prepared to link to your website with well targeted text so all the search engines like you. Once things are underway you might even consider a few paid adverts!

Give away a couple of posters to be hung in prominent places, ones with good details about where to buy one. You should be able to shift a fair bit without too much expense. Look at CafePress.com too, they seem a pretty decent starting point for designers wanting to shift goods.

If I think of anything else I'll let you know.

It's just my PC keeps complaining it doesn't have enough memory to scan at the high resolution you said we need. Is it still OK to send you the hard copies instead?

It might be worth having a chat with dearg and MP about the hoops they had to jump through to sort out their business plan and apply for the various grants they've managed to get. And you never know, they might need the services of someone with your talents on an occasional basis...

Biggest market for posters? Students, I reckon. Got any contacts in the student unions of the various Manchester universities?

oh, and *hug*

Manchester Academy (mini concert hall in Unviersity area) have poster and T-shirt sales every week, or so I've heard. Going to get a portfolio of about ten or fifteen pics and see if I can get a stall. Maybe flog some T-shirts

Thanks to everyone for the advice and hugs and stuff. I'll have to read up on these things you call grants :-)
