Not sure if people are still watching this comm, but SGA Legacy book series author jo_graham has some Zelenka backstory up on her journal from her novel "Death Game".
I like the way the SGA Legacy series has treated Zelenka; he's got a lot of history and a lot of complexity as he's been written in the books. -
