Some of you may remember my post a while back about making a present for my roommate based on this picture. also, re selling on etsy, you probably need to be wary about selling copyright character items.

Considering the MASSIVE amount of Twilight merch on Etsy, along with Disney, Harry Potter, and comic book characters there's really no need to obey copyright because she'd be one of the only ones.

i guess its personal descision, dont know what the south park copywriter lawyers are like but hello kitty and disney have come down on etsy people and made them remove stuff in the past

Most companies don't really care if you are small time occasionally selling something based on their characters or logo just because you felt like making it. It's free publicity, and you aren't a big enough market to waste the money on to take you to court. In the case of south park, there have been several internet spinoffs of south park or southpark like characters and they seem to be encouraged by the network. You are probably safe!

But be careful of Disney. Disney is absolutely fascist about their copyright laws. They have been known to send threatening letter threatening legal action just because someone had put graphic of winnie the pooh on their web page. You don't want to tangle with Disney.
