I finally finished the skull I was making for a friend! I also finished my favorite ami yet: a semi-bionic battle penguin super hero type... thing. His name is Penguin. My co-worker sketched him and this is the final product!

Wow! Bionic penguin is super awesome! It is a great rendition of the drawing. Yea, most people just don't really care about biological accuracy - north pole, south pole, whatever. :|

OK, I am a little baffled as to why a burger place has a big wacked out skull as an entrance, but yes, your cool skull does resemble it! Neat buttons. ^_^

Thank you! :D I do wish I'd put the beak up higher, though. And yeah, he was totally shocked to learn penguins and polar bears didn't live together.

As for the Vortex and its giant skull... it's just the kind of place where you wouldn't need to question it. It's part of the personality of the bar & grill. Their signature burger is called The Cardiac Arrest (as in, that's what it's called on the menu).

Yeah I live in Athens but my boyfriend's parents live in Tucker and we go to Decatur all the time.

Wow! These are great! Nice job of translating your friend's drawing into a 3D ami! :o) I'll bet your friend was thrilled! :o) My DH is eyeing your skull, but I've told him I'm NOT making him one! (I'm the one that does sugary sweet, remember! heh heh) He's also asked for Piglet (from Winnie the Pooh), so he is getting Piglet for Valentine's Day. Yep, Piglet, and a skull... that's what he's like! heh heh

He certainly was thrilled. His jaw dropped and he said it was the most awesome thing ever. Or something to that effect.

Surprisingly, the skull was a menace to make. I couldn't figure out what they were trying to say with the pattern, because it was having me skip 10 stitches but didn't explain how to do it. I ended up just making a separate piece and sewing it to the bottom to keep the stuffing in. Oh well~

A Piglet is more suited to Valentine's Day, though. I support this choice~
