I finally finished the skull I was making for a friend! I also finished my favorite ami yet: a semi-bionic battle penguin super hero type... thing. His name is Penguin. My co-worker sketched him and this is the final product!

Yeah I live in Athens but my boyfriend's parents live in Tucker and we go to Decatur all the time.

Cool! I went to grad school at UGA. I wonder if The Vortex was in Atlanta when I was there (about 12 years ago!). I didn't spend much time in Atlanta though, except to go to the Dekalb farmer's market and the Raja Indian Restaurant (and the airport, of course). I really miss the farmer's market. :( You just can't get stuff like that where I live now. ***Drifts off into reminiscences of Indian food, spices, yummy imported goodies....***

According to The Vortex's website, the first Vortex was started in Midtown Atlanta back in 1992, so yeah! That's about 17 years ago now.

They're a pretty funny place, with rules like "No Whining" and "Idiot-Free Zone" -- it's quite an experience type of place ... and not for the easily offended. ^_^;
