2007 Book Challenge

28. Hex: A Novel of Love Spells - Darieck Scott - 601 pages. Missing people, witchcraft, a warlock, a bit of the everglades inside a hotel room, travel and mystery. Elaborate story about a book of spells, and the paths it's taken through several generations. Great characters and adventure, kept me turning the pages.

Things are OK. Dad is still in hospital, still not eating, his intestines/innards are still paralyzed from the trauma of the surgery... his guts were out on the table during the operation. So he's got a pick line for nutrition, and they are pumping the bile out of his stomach.

He's lucid which is good... cuz he was seriously overmedicated and hallucinating for a while. The docs are still happy with his progress.

No movement on the birthmom front (although she should have gotten my letter no later than today), and nothing on the dating front.
