28. Hex: A Novel of Love Spells - Darieck Scott - 601 pages. Missing people, witchcraft, a warlock, a bit of the everglades inside a hotel room, travel and mystery. Elaborate story about a book of spells, and the paths it's taken through several generations. Great characters and adventure, kept me turning the pages.

29. Uncertain Endings: The Worlds Greatest Unsolved Mystery Stories - Edited by Otto Penzler - 301 pages. This intriguing collection has stories from some of the greats. Authors include: Stanley Ellin, S. Weir Mitchell, Roald Dahl, Frank Stockton, Jack Moffitt, Barry Perowne, Cleveland Moffitt, Gerald Kersh, Owen Johnson, Ray Bradbury, O. Henry, Aldous Huxley, Laurie York Erskine, Peter Godfrey, and Mark Twain. The stories date back to 1921 through 1958 and none of them have the denouement... there are no easy answers to these mysteries.
