Yeah, I sent her the link that flamingatheist posted earlier and expressed my concern that she was a scammer and told her that she couldnt have my cat. We'll see how she responds!

how would you get a pet named "____" to come to you? "here underscore underscore underscore underscore." "come on underscore underscore underscore underscore." surely there are better names?

i noticed that whenever anyone wants money from you for no reason and they shouldn't be asking, they usually manage to mention god.

Well in this case she's supposed to be giving me $25 to cover the kitty prozac and pick up Precious, but I certainly don't believe that she has anyone locally to pick her up, or that she'd be going to Canada with this woman, no matter what she's told me via email.

no, i wouldn't take responses from anyone really long distance serious either. like you said, there are plenty of cats available for adoption locally.

and yes, it's reasonable to ask for money for the Prozac and even for the purpose of establishing that the person wants her. but you don't have to take people that don't make sense seriously.

i'm sure it will all work out. but you can only do what you can do, if not.

I don't know... but that email raises a lot of red flags. Seriously. The money order might be fake. Especially beware if this person asks you to cash a money order for a lot more than $25.

I posted a flier with her photo in the lunchroom at work, and am not above mentioning it to people in conversation, so I really hope we can find someone good soon.
