.....Youngest fledgling has left the eyrie.  He's gone to catch a 6:15 pm flight to Chicago first, then from there to Seattle.  Older siblings will be there waiting to catch him and lead him on to his next great adventure.

All I can say to Seattle is that they better look out, because I raised a race of Kings, and they will conquer whichever path ( Read more... )

Wow...what a good-looking, happy-seeming young man!
Okay, I KNOW this is weird, but I got a flash of him on a cliff in the Highlands, shield in one hand, sword in the other.
A little intimidating, that picture! LOL
I wish I had had a chance to meet him before he moved.

He would totally love that picture of himself. He views himself as a warrior. A totally smart-assed warrior, but a warrior nonetheless!!

*hugs you tight*

I wish I knew something to make you feel better, but everything that comes to my mind is a stupid cliche -- and I find it very annoying when people say those to me. So, I'll just . . .

*hug you again*

He'll be fine, Mum. Really :-) And so will you, though believe me, I feel that myself (my baby may go out of the *country* for grad school, ack.)

It's spring which means the days here can be dank and gloomy, but coupled with the towering trees, mountains and water it's a good place to brood and get in touch with your inner Dark Ages. I hope he enjoys it.

He's already been up there visiting, and completely fell in love with the place, so I know he'll be fine. His bro and sister in law have SCA friends up there, so he knows where he can go to thump on people should he need to.

I guess it's time to put on my big girl panties and handle this, right?

Where is girl child wanting to go? England?

Big girl panties are a pain. I really hate them. Yes, the Child is looking at England at this point. But lots of things have to happen first.

Hey, both your kids are out here now, so you must visit them. And see me. Sorry, but you must.

Happily so! We have a tentative plan for Thanksgiving. Will you be in town?
