.....Youngest fledgling has left the eyrie.  He's gone to catch a 6:15 pm flight to Chicago first, then from there to Seattle.  Older siblings will be there waiting to catch him and lead him on to his next great adventure.

My youngest son, the only one still east of the Rocky Mountains, moves to Seattle on Thursday.  Soon, all my children will be 1500 miles away, and I don't think I'm handling it well.

is the holiday season.  I had a good Yule; but oh my Goddess, I miss my Seattle kids so much right now!

The Wonder Hubby's darling of a Grandmother, Mabel, passed away last night at 7:40 pm.  She was 95, but the last ten years of that had been clouded by the horror that is Alzheimer's.  As I mentioned earlier, this was not an unexpected passing; and personally, I'm happy for her.  I can't shake the fear that Alzheimer's patients are still in there-- ( Read more... )
