Long chains of quoting
As of about 2:15 this afternoon, CNN says that the Associated Press says that "officials say" that John Edwards is running for President in 2008. Apparently no one seems to want to take responsibility for being direct on this.
(Okay, the actual news alert was "Officials say Democrat John Edwards -- defeated 2004 candidate for vice president -- plans to announce he will enter the 2008 presidential race, The Associated Press reports." Not quite as blatant as my restatement.)
Now I am saying that CNN says that the Associated Press says that "officials say" that John Edwards is running for President in 2008. I hope someone will take note and continue the chain.
