Queensday.....*Rant Alert*

I might hate Queensday but for some idiot to drive through a crowd in a car towards the royal family. Just driving over all the people standing there watching our Queen. 2 Deaths, 21 hurt.
I can't believe this.
I thought we were a civilized country. I thought wrong.

I can but agree with you. Going somewhere just to get drunk is massive stupidity and I totally dislike(more than dislike) such behavior. However the things you said about street fights saddened me...Just another proof for human degradation...
Anyway, it's good you still had a nice day and visited some museums. I always enjoy visiting museums. ^^ What museums are to be seen in Leuuwarden? I remember Suomi went once to a museum there which had pottery exhibited.
About Newyorker...like it too, has a lot of nice things. ^^
Chocolate...yummy! *thinks of the many chocolate types to be found in Holland* I will definitely buy some this summer. ^^
I also had a walk today through the city. Long walks are always nice, because you can just look around, think of anything you want and listen to music at your MP3 player. ^^

In Leeuwarden we don't have any of the major pieces of Art, but we do have some fun musea around. Suomi went to the Princessehof (Princesses Court) where they show of plentitudes of pottery and other ceramics. It's also the birthplace of the famous drawer and optical illusionist Esscher. We also have a nice museum about anything nature-related, which contains a really old musea from the 17th century. And we have the Frisian Museum which actually shows not only old frisian art but also dutch art and how people lived in the 17th century and the 18th century. It also contains a part about the second world war.
I could probably give you a historical tour around the city, as i have done that before.

I think you would have a lovely time here. do you have any idea when you'd be likely to visit us?
