I wonder if they surprise any of you...

10. LMFAO - Sexy And I Know It
2011 was the big one for LMFAO. First we had The Party Rock Anthem, which introduced us to Shuffling. But to me, their best song of this year is by far Sexy and I Know It, if only for those ridicilous small and shiny pants.

9.Rihanna - Man Down.

Pink FLoyd wished they were as good as the Horrors, that's all I'm saying.

I'm actually more smitten by Birdie's cover of Bon Iver's song Skinny Love. Perfect combination of two amazing discoveries this year, the talented young frail Birdie and the wonderful, eerie world of Bon Iver.

I do miss James Blake in this list though....

James Blake was this year?? FUUUU

Ahh personal preferences. I like Skinny Love, but don't know Bonny Iver.
Do know Ed Sheeran, and Birdy aced that cover too. Ed Sheeran sung Skinny Love too, still need to listen.

What's your favourite The Horrors song of this album, by the way?

Actually Bon Iver had a sung out very recently, called Holocene:

And, yes, James Blake was this year. And guess what? He did a song together with the same guy:http://youtu.be/5aqKA_2UUy4
This year, everywhere I went I bumped into Bon Iver. When Destiny is that much trying to give you a hint, one has to listen! HAHA!

The best song of Skying... Hmmm. Cannot say I really have one. I still love Still Life to bits, and the first times I listened to the album, I Can See Through You was immediately catchy and I loved that song live. Oceans Burning is lyrically my favourite. Monica Gems is also high up there... So ehm, half of the album? Depends on my mood basically, but it goes between those four.
