Squeee!! So excited to see this list come out. Very pleased to see another Angelica Gorodischer on the list; her Kalpa Imperial is a masterpiece.

On a slightly related note, do you write original stuff as well? I belong to a really good writing/critiquing group for writers of F/SF. If you're interested I'll send you the info.

I haven't read Kalpa Imperial, but based on your recommendation, I've just ordered it from the library. Inter-library loan is such a great feature! (I usually get books from the library and then buy the ones I like enough to keep around. I like supporting good authors, but the house is so stuffed with books already that we have to ration ourselves. The great thing about the library is that they take the books BACK when we're finished with them. :-D)

Thanks for telling me about your writing group! I've only just started working on my first original story and was thinking glumly that there was no one to talk to about stories that weren't Trek-related. And here you come along! I had no idea that signing up for Happy Trekmas would get me a fairy godmother. :-) (In other words, yes, I'm interested. :-D)
