Blues Fest 2014 first announcement

Oh wow. Michael Franti and Spearhead were just announced (24hrs ago give or take) for two days of the Byron Bay festivalI really want to go... Also of interest John Butler Trio, Morcheeba (90s songs ftw! Rome Wasn't Built in a Day anyone?), Dave Matthew Band, John Mayer and KT Tunstall. I just need to convince a friend or something

Hmm. $28 from Brisbane to Byron.. Tickets to the event is a bit more pricey, and then there'd be accommodation, but.... hmm. Iiiinteresting.

(I don't mind a few of those artists. Not a maaaassive fan, tbh, but... quite like. So.)

Wow 28 for travel ain't bad at all! Yeah, depends on how many days you want to go for etc, and there's some packages with tents. Nearby motel accom with free 15min shuttle or something too.

(Yeah, I'm not a massive fan of most. Except I've really wanted to see Franti live since '06. For example I recognised the name Morcheeba and found my 2000s greatest hits cd which has Rome Wasn't Built in a Day most of them have nice laid back or slightly off beat tracks. *shrugs* Would be an experience at least)

Yeah, not bad. Could even head down just for a few nights, even if we don't end up going to the festival. Time it so we can grab lunch with you one day or something.

Yeah. Or I could just come up to you guys. Or spend the afternoons/nights if you weren't attending the festival -something.

We'll see how it goes. Ideally I'd like someone else to fly up there with, and I am still hanging on the idea that the main band I'm interested in may come to my state and do a gig or two. They did last time if I recall correctly...
