Blues Fest 2014 first announcement
Oh wow. Michael Franti and Spearhead were just announced (24hrs ago give or take) for two days of the Byron Bay festival!
I really want to go... Also of interest John Butler Trio, Morcheeba (90s songs ftw! Rome Wasn't Built in a Day anyone?), Dave Matthew Band, John Mayer and KT Tunstall. I just need to convince a friend or something~
It would be cool if they did a show or two in Victoria too. :P
I haven't exactly ~loved~ Michael Franti and co's newer albums but they aren't horrible... In fact I had been so meh about the last songs I heard from them I hadn't bothered listening to any of their newest stuff. Boo boo on my part. Just listened to one of their ones linked on their info page for the festival. Its not amazing but its happy and catchy and still got some interesting rhythms here and there, I could live with seeing them perform that live. ;)
