Okay, I AM a fuck-up, but at least I admit my mistakes. I called Bullseye dog rescue to ask them if the REALLY don't adopt dogs to same-sex couples. When the woman on the other end stopped laughing, she said exactly what ironymaiden  said--they won't adopt a pit bull to a home that has another PIT BULL of the same sex.

Hee hee! I just HAD to! I was very polite, but if the person on the other end of the phone had told me that they did not, in fact, adopt dogs to same-sex PERSON households, I was prepared to create new orifi. Lots and lots of them. Actually, the lady I talked to was very nice, and I don't blame her a bit for laughing at me. I laughed at me too.
