This is comment I made to a friend's post and just in case my parents should be perusing my blog...
"You can include me in the list of lucky people, too. When I came out to my mom, she had a little cry, and told me it was ok. She just wanted me to have the same things everyone else had and she didn't want me to face any hardship. When my dad found out later on, he called me at college and said 'I want you to know that I'll love you no matter what.'
It meant the world to me, and it still does. Not a day goes by that I'm not thankful for my parents and the love they give me. I only wish more parents could be like that"
