Let's hear it for supportive parents! Mine were great, too - Mom wasn't surprised - she just wanted to be sure I knew there was "safe-sex for lesbians, too - there are these gloves..." LOL. Dad had a bit of a hard time at first, but he's from an older generation and has no gaydar whatsoever - he just said to give him time to get used to it - he was mainly concerned for my safety (i.e. when I'd have liberal bumperstickers on my car - someone might attack me).

LOL...S's father reacted like your mother...gave her a 'safe sex for lesbians' booklet. I would've been mortified! ;) Glad to hear your experience was positive as well.
