It was a most productive weekend. My parents arrived about an hour after the contractors left. And while the work was done and lovely, they left quite a mess. We went wireless a few weeks ago...It's so nice! Stephanie's having a little bit of trouble networking her computer, because it's on a different operating system than the other 2 computers, but she can use the internet from anywhere in the apartment, instead of just the sunroom like before.

Our neighbor helped us connect...we were having some problems at first, too, but everything's working smoothly now. It is so nice to be able to connect anywhere.

Would we be able to use a USB one on the printer to allow me to print wirelessly from my laptop on the same network?

No, they make special ones for that though (and none I've tried have worked all that well). Look into having the desktop share the printer over the network though - that'll let you print to it as long as the desktop is turned on.

Yeah, I would've liked more time in between, but am totally grateful my parents didn't show up when they were still there. Whew!
