Well, the "Getting the House Straightened" plan has not gone as well as planned.  I have been SUPER busy.  I have been reading LJ but not had time to post too.

Quite a few of my friends are "friends only", with public intro posts that encourage folks to apply for entry. If you are fairly quick about adding people who ask in, there shouldn't be a problem.

If you are wanting to go totally private, as in no one at all reading your entries, like a diary, you could consider a separate account for that. Or just make "private" your personal entries here, which you could already be doing and we wouldn't be the wiser.

But having the open site for keeping up with friends and keeping friends informed is nice. I'd hope you keep doing that.

No, I meant friends only. I just used the wrong wording. I just meant not totally public.

I went friends only because some crazy girl convinced me that maybe I shouldn't have my life, boring as it may be, out there for just ANYONE to read. I really didn't think I'd like it, but it is sort of comforting in a way. I add pretty much anyone who asks, though.
