Well he's backpedaling and not doing a very good job of it.

I find it very hard to believe that even if did not review the draft, that he wasn't privy to the contents. C'mon Mike *sheesh*

Yeah - my response to his "it wasn't me" posturing was:

"Whom do you have on your proposal-writing staff who has such a blatantly religion-based anti-birth control agenda, and what on Earth are they doing anywhere near Health and Human Services?"

I commented as well, even though I'm a Canadian (he doesn't need to know that). I was shocked by how many women and doctors wrote in SUPPORTING the proposed legislation! Doctors are one thing - they like to think they're gods anyway - but women who advocate the infantilzing of their own gender by the erosion of rights over their own bodies (regardless of how they feel about abortion) just makes me feel sick. It's like they're spitting in the face of every Suffragette, every Women's Lib-er, and every woman who ever fought to be seen as an individual, not just a walking set of boobs and a 'pooter.

Sorry, this really gets me worked up...

'sokay, it gets me worked up too. I'm morbidly curious to see just how far this thing gets - especially if that old guy wins the election.
