After much hemming and hawwing, and many many tears, we realized we just can't afford our reception hall. We've decided to rent our local community center and just decorate/cater in. Problem is, we can't seem to find anyone who has ANY caterer recommendations!! Chicagoland brides, help!!!!

We're going to have between 10 - 20 people traveling from out of town (his entire family and some friends), which I know isn't a huge number, but I'd still like to block some rooms for them if possible as the Chicago hotel room market can be tight when the weather is good.  Does anyone have recommendations?  We'd like to keep them downtown, ( Read more... )

Okay, FH and I visited Indian Lakes Resort in Bloomingdale last week, and I think that's *the* place. Problem is I'm so picky! I have a couple questions:

1) Anyone been to a reception there? If so, what did you think?

2) Any other suggestions for reception halls along the same lines?
