Do any of you have any good resources or ideas for Bridal Shower Games? Thanks in advance!!

Okay, less than 4 weeks out from the big day, I am starting to wish we'd just eloped in the first place. The planning is really getting to me, and it's driving me (and everyone around by proxy) nuts.

Okay. So my FH just told me that his stepmother called him this morning. She told him that she's planning on throwing me a bridal shower in June.

He was all like , "wow thanks, that's very kind of you! Can she invite her mom and stuff?"

SHE SAID NO. That the shower is for her side of the family only!

 My co-workers threw me a little surprise bridal shower today, just the 10 of us in-office.

Ok, so based off my previous post here - a bridal shower is not something I'm looking forward to enjoying.

Maybe I just need a glass of wine like most of you suggested.

However, that is not my question at this point...

When do write "Thank You" notes for the gifts you receive at the shower?  After the wedding?

Generally, how long before a wedding do bridal showers take place? Days, weeks, months... Is there a "standard" ? Thanks!
