I'm with everyone else... I think presenting your bouquet to your mom would be lovely, and it doesn't have to have anything to do with her being single... it can just be a "Thank You" for being a great mom!
hahaha. It's a tiny kitten. My mom and I both breed siamese cats. Anyway, I was trying on my wedding dress at her house and everyone was amazed that it was too big in the top. I'm rather chesty :) So my little sister, who is always saying I should keep things in my cleavage went and got one of the kittens. I think it would have been quite happy to stay there.
AWWW, I thought it was a little kitty! How fricking adorable! I'm in need of a new kitty (mine died last summer and I'm still in mourning) so mail me one UPS, would you? Just kidding.
I would announce that there will be no bouquet tossing but that you will be giving the flowers to a very special person instead - your mom - to thank her for her love and support.
While I realize this is not the advice you are asking for, I thought I might share another option:
Make it so the bouquet is so loosely tied that when you throw it the girls are all showered with the flowers =) If you have a toss bouquet this makes it even easier because you can prepare it in such a way that the blooms are not reallt tied together.
Also, if you have a toss bouquet you can still give your mom your bouquet privately since you dont want to advertise her singlehood.
As for small groups of the unmarried...well, I was one of TWO unmarried single women at a friends wedding. Lol! It was funny because we both caught it equaly. She grasped one side and I the other...then we both let go. I got to keep it because she was the brides sister and actualy MADE the bouquet herself out of paper flowers (it is exquisite) and didnt want to keep it since she can make them to her hearts desire.
