Are there any Auburn, NY brides? Or even Central NY brides?

I'm looking for anyone who has either used or attended an event at Lakeview Golf & Country Club in Auburn, NY. I'm going to a wedding there in August, and I need to know how disability-friendly/accessible the venue is ( Read more... )

I could, since the groom is my self-adoptive cousin, but I'm afraid it might start some 'unnecessary drama' with the groom's grandfather, who I live with. (Groom's grandfather has a habit of making 'mountains out of molehills' when it comes to drama. He threatened to disown his own son, the groom's father, because he didn't personally call to invite the household to the campground for Father's Day last weekend.)

I don't need to be lectured about 'being ret*rded' and planning ahead, for my own sake. LOL

Can you call the venue? I'm sure someone there can answer your question quite easily.

I probably could, but again, it goes back to the 'unneeded drama' and 'getting involved' lecture from the groom's grandfather.

How is calling the venue going to cause drama? I doubt they will go out of their way to tell the groom's grandfather. Call them, tell them that you will be there for an event in the coming weeks/months and wanted to inquire about their accessibility. They will answer you and I doubt they will tell anyone.

No, but if by chance, he hears me, he'll ask a million and one questions... and when I tell him, 'I'm looking out for my disability.' That's when the drama will start.

He's convinced I'm 'faking' my CP and I'm putting 90% of it on for sympathy.
