I'm so not crafty, and I'm facing a few details I can't decide about. (Whoever said "the devil is in the details" must've planned a wedding!)

My two cents on the invites is to leave them as they are. Simple is beautiful, too.

As far as the tags go, I say just hand-write the names. They don't have to be perfect, and sometimes a little whimsy can be really cute.

I wouldn't say that the handles have to be upright either. You could just tie the tags to the very end of the handles.

As far as cutting them straight and hole-punching them goes, that's not terribly hard either. You can get a cheap holepunch and a paper cutter at michael's for cheap.

Take it from my experience... since I spent a lot of money on invites and having them look "just right".... No one even looks at them more than once. I think I was the ONLY person who cared about them. My own mother didn't even open hers... I would stick to the simple ones.

What we are doing for place cards are these: http://www.partycity.com/product/heart+place+card+holder.do?sortby=ourPicks&pp=60&size=all&navSet=176492

And then I'm making the little cards. They can take these home with them as well because they are cute for pictures. I love the idea of doing the buckets though. That is really cute. Another idea may be using the coasters that come as favors (in packs of 2), but splitting them and putting peoples names in those and they can also take them home.

as much as your handwriting does kinda suck (it's better than mine though) - what if you take long labels, print them and fold them in half around the bucket handle? That would avoid having to cut things straight ( ... )

the invites are pretty just the way they are :) you can put a theme related envelope seal on the inner or outer envelope if you want, that would be nice ( ... )
