Dying Crinoline

I hope this isn't too off topic but it does concern dying my crinoline...

My attempt at reusing all my wedding stuff. )

I don't see why it would be any different from dying fabric with fabric dye, but I can't say that I've tried this before. Sounds like a really awesome idea!

In what research I did people were saying that because it's nylon it doesn't absorb the dye like most fabric would. Hoping someone here has had some experience with this!

Hmmm... I know you can use some specialty spray paints on fabric, because I was looking at spraypainting silk flowers. I don't see how it could not hold the spray paint color.

Just out of curiosity... Do you live in Texas? I used to know a Kayleigh that was obsessed with ladybugs... Kind of a weird coincidence if not.

Yes, spray paints are an option. I'll have to figure this out.

You are not going to get a black crin out of a white tulle crin and dye. It's just not going to happen. Promise.

You're also not going to get red tulle from white tulle + dye. You're going to get very very faintly pink tulle. Tulle is basically plastic. It doesn't take dye the way natural fabrics do.
