STD & RSVP

IDK if there are rules or guidelines to follow on this, but...

How matchy-matchy were your STD cards in relation to your invitations/RSVP cards, etc.?

Mine weren't super matchy matchy but they did kind of tie together.
Both used our primary wedding color (sage green) and had a similar kind of whimsical vine/swirl design that became the accidental theme of our wedding.

I don't think there's a hard and fast "rule" for this, but for me it just kind of happened accidently because the things that I ended up liking were similar and matched the idea I had in my head of what I wanted my wedding to feel like.

For the StDs I ordered from WeddingPaperDivas.com:

I was very matchy-matchy ((anal! haha)). The set of invitations//menus//reply cards//maps & directions//reception cards//thank-you cards had STDs that went with them, but I didn't like them, even though I loved everything else in the set ((obviously! haha)). But instead I got STDs by the same company & actually thought they went better with everything I ordered than the STD that came with it.

Ours didn't match in the slightest. And both the STDs and invites didn't match the wedding colors either! Haha.

Ours won't match.

Our save-the-date will be a business card sized magnet with a photo of us and very little text. FH's cousins are all doing their S-T-Ds like this to have a "matching set". :P We're not attaching it to anything, just wrapping them in tissue paper and putting them in their envelopes.

Our invitations will be decidedly different. Only possible similarity might be the font, but I doubt even that honestly.
