I would think this would be the problem as well. I was talking to my mother the other day about invites b/c of guest list drama and she was saying that, sending them 4 or so months in advance, I'll still have to call a lot of guests who don't RSVP because they'll put the invite in a pile and forget t

Okay.

A) I immediately knew that ring was Tacori (that's 4 years in the jewelry industry talking) and I swooned.

We invited 218 people where everyone had to travel to the wedding, in the end we had about 75 who made it. I would send Save The Dates. We were shocked at some of the people who did come because they were able to book cheap airfare since they knew in advance from the Save The Date. We still had to do a ton of calling on the Invites though because we did send them a bit too early and people lost them or just set them in a big pile of stuff. I would listen to the planner and do the Save The Dates.
