If your concern is wasting paper/stamps/money, you could send official save the dates e-cards now, and paper invites later.

I am SO excited to get to watch your theme come together! LOVE that movie! Its actually the first movie both FH and I cried at. XD

When FH and I watched UP, it was literally the first time in our relationship that I actually saw him cry. And I mean actual streams of tears pouring out of him! In a way it was kinda scary, haha.
