After poking around all available choices in the Jackson, MS area, I gave up on the idea of getting engagement pictures done here and posted an ad on New Orleans craigslist in the gigs section, thinking some bored college student or someone just breaking into the big-time photography world would respond with a few of my terms

Do you think he's even a real photographer or just some jerk who sent you an email? So sorry about that, but glad you found a great photographer!

Oh, no, he's a real photographer; I googled his name and found his website on the very first hit. (When people reply to my CL postings with their real name attached, I like to google it to see if they're a famous lawyer or something. When I gave away DVDs in Philly, a city councilman picked up a few!)

If he was just some jerk, I'd post in my own LJ instead of wasting everyone's time here. I refuse to link to his website, but you can very easily find it via the googles.

Okay, I just Googled him. If it makes you feel any better, I don't think his work is very good despite his client list. I say this as an artist/photographer. So, it's probably good you didn't have untalented him photographing you anyway!

Um. A wedding photographer was recently successfully prosecuted for discriminating against a gay couple in a similar way...

Boy uses too much flash. You're far better off without his aid and without his philosophical guidance as well.
