New Orleans Photographer Disapproval: Craig Macaluso
After poking around all available choices in the Jackson, MS area, I gave up on the idea of getting engagement pictures done here and posted an ad on New Orleans craigslist in the gigs section, thinking some bored college student or someone just breaking into the big-time photography world would respond with a few of my terms.
Thankfully, I did get a cool response from a really amazing photographer; and I'm doing a contract with her (review pending) right now, but then I got an email from Craig Macaluso (no link; he doesn't deserve it).
He went through the trouble of replying to a CL ad...to send us badly mangled Bible verses. No, really. See:jeremiah 29:11-13 for I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace & not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

He may be a nice dude, but he also is a bit of a nutter. If you are looking for a GLBTQ-friendly photographer or even just not a nutter at your wedding, I don't think this guy is your best choice. I was disappointed, to say the least.
