Something old, some new ...

I'm just curious.  Did you do the whole 'something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue'?  And if so, what did you use for each?

I TOTALLY spaced this off until I was in my wedding dress, IN the church, getting my makeup done.  I had a pretty traditional wedding (minus what hubby wore) so I thought I NEEDED to do this.

Something old will be my earrings I bought myself that pair well with the other earrings
Something new I haven't totally decided on, but I do need to purchase ruby slippers so it will probably be them.
Something borrowed is going to be a pair of earrings & possibly a necklace from FMIL
Something blue is my Patriots garter
FMIL is also trying to find the sixpence from her wedding =)

Something old:
Was going to be the top part of my dress as it was vintage, but then at the last minute I decided to don these strange gloves my grandmother gave me upon her arrival.

Then we made a wish on the coin after the service and hucked it into Elliot Bay.

I don't want to sound rude but I mean, elegant =/= painful for shoes.

It just kinda happened for me. New was the last thing I figured out. :p Old is my dress (family dress), borrowed is the veil one of my LJ friends offered me when I posted a picture of said dress, blue is flowerness because it's one of our wedding colours and new is the EFFING SHOES I FINALLY FOUND. :p (And probably some jewlery. :p)

This is my plan:
Something old - The rings that my FH have given me (theres 3) will be place on a long necklace that I will wear so that they fall underneath the dress
Something new - my FH is buying me earrings that will go with the necklace
Something borrowed - a necklace my grandma wore to her wedding
Something blue - lacy, pretty undies as well as a hair pin

I cheated...I borrowed my sister-in-laws crinoline. She got married many years before me. So that's something old and borrowed. I dyed it blue. That made it knew again. Yeah I know huge stretch there but technically it covered all bases in one.
