Taste of Home's Simple & Delicious

All the recipes are easy to make which helps for entertaining. Good luck and that really sucks that the maids aren't helping (like they are supposed to) and the Bride doesn't seem like she appreciates it. Let's just hope the Bride's brain is too pre-occupied (not excusing her though).

At my first shower (the "fancy" one), my mom's good friend is a caterer and offered to do it for the girls, and my mom just bought a cake from Longos.

At my second shower, they had a meat and cheese tray, with little buns to make little sandwiches out of them, and various salads (brocolli salad, potato salad), and then a cake (with a big chocolate penis on it, yeah it was "that kind of shower").

Oh and for drinks, at the first shower, we had white wine and alcoholic punch (water for those who didn't want to drink). And at the second shower, FMIL made strawberry daquiris and jello shooters, and everyone brought drinks as well.

You could make a big pan of strawberry shortcake. It's easy.

You get biscuits, a lot of strawberries, and whipped cream and just make enough to feed the amount of people.

My grandma and mom used to make it all the time. It's so good and it's a crowd pleaser.

Depending how many people are there, more than one sandwich platter. But it definitely sounds good! Also, remember to have a variety of drinks (I'm talking about non-alcoholic), since some people could be diabetic, hypoglycemic, whatever, so it would be nice for them to have an option other than water.
