Aisle Runners

So, I've been kicking around the idea of an aisle runner.  We are getting married in a park pavilion which has a cement floor.  Normally, I wouldn't even mess with an aisle runner, but the more I think about it, the more I worry about my train.  It's 100% lace.

I'm thinking about making one. Our ceremony is outside and I don't really feel like walking down a grass aisle. I have no idea how to go about making one though. It's probably not too hard.

Aisle runner + grass = dangerous. If you're going to do that you'll want some plywood or something underneath, so you have something solid to walk on.

I made my own, it was super easy, and completely inexpensive. I bought the fabric on clearance at walmart for $1 a yard. We got 11 yards.

She said "I bought the fabric on clearance at walmart", so I don't think she got it at Michaels. :-)

My mom is going to make mine. She works for W.L. Gore which makes Goretex material and she's just going to take some plain white and hem the edges.

Simple!

Yes - it's Michaels as in the craft store. I practically live there - LOL.

Thank you! I LOVE my dress. It's a satin under dress with a beaded schiaffi lace on netting overdress, and I fell in love with it!

I wear my hair in a pixie cut - I'm still debating the whole veil situation. I got one, but it's not lacy - the beads on the veil do match the beads on the gown. I definitely got a crystal headband that I'm going to wear, but I am going to take the veil to my stylist to she if she can secure it without me looking like a net fountain!
