2 Short Movie/DVD reviews

  • Shooter - Sniper movie. Too Predictable. Puts main character who is highly observant and intelligent into a dumb situation.
  • Jumper - Awesome special effects, semi-intriguing storyline, primary acting falls flat. I wish they would stop giving Hayden Christensen movie roles.

Both movies were much better as books. I'm biased about 'Shooter' since I'm a fan of the main character from Stephen Hunter's series about him and his father. As for 'Jumper', it's a young adult novel that was so different from the movie the author wrote another book based on the movie. The original book dealt with actual situations rather than an action movie plot.

Short and simple, unlike my own reviews. *snicker* Sometimes it's hard to shut me up.

Saw them both, and agree on all counts.

Mainstream American movies with single word action noun titles likely only deserve single sentence reviews.

I'm way behind on my own review spam.
