Business's going well then?

And I dunno where the bugs came from- I got one hanging 'round too. Probably something else the tree's doing.

It is! Well, same as always, but there does seem to be a demand.

Just the one? I wonder if there's a rule, like with, well, the unicorns.

Good that you're keeping busy, then.

Yeah. You have one too, right? Most people I've seen've had a flock.

And how are you doing these days? You closed down the shop, right?

Yes. I suppose if I had more they'd make a nice nightlight, but the one is a bit dim for that.

A firefly is following me as well.

And I would like to see you too.

Hmm. Maybe it's something to do with how old we are?

Are you busy on Monday evening? I'm thinking of taking a day off after the weekend.

Maybe.

I'm not.

Hmm. How do you like ice cream? The salt caramel and cookie dough stuff was quite awesome, but I can bring something more normal, too.

There's a few around here. They haven't proven poisonous to the dogs yet, but they're replaced each time Tenzou eats one.

I'm not sure what their purpose is, though, but so far even en masse they've been harmless, if a bit distracting.

Bunsen likes to swat at mine, too. I've pulled her out of my hair a few too many times today.

Well. First we had unicorns, then we had swamp dragons... I'm sure there's some sort of rhyme or reason to the fireflies, too.

But you could have had two hair decorations for the price of one.

Sex is a popular theme for the Tree. But I would take you for a unicorn person, so the fireflies can't be number of partners.

When you have hair to your waist, having an excitable cat get tangled in it is a bit of a bother.

Oh. Well. I wasn't really thinking it depended on that.

I do not know. They were not, and then they were.

It is an annoyance, but a minor one considering.

You have them, too?

I'd feel a bit better knowing what they mean, though. They've got a bit of a sad feel to them to me.

Yes. I have not been able to count. They move quickly.

Observing them [pause] it makes me uneasy.

Right. I guess they would. I think I like fireflies more when they're just, well, doing their thing. Fisher Isle had some last summer.

I feel like they mean something I should remember.

Thrifty as always, I see~

I keep trying to get rid of my 'pretty cloud' but not even flypaper works. Not exactly sanitary, are they?

Have you looked at how busy it is around here? We can afford that! I'm keeping the books, and I checked them twice.

They keep getting into people's drinks, yes. I think we need some sort of covers for glasses. Maybe those plastic ones you can stick a straw through? Though I wonder if anyone would actually drink beer through a straw...

Well you did say the Yard Sale, so I was wondering.

Between the alternatives, I'd drink through a straw - or just one of those covers that have holes you sip coffee out of.

Hmm. Do you think I should withdraw that offer, after all? I was thinking it would be work none of us would need to do, when it's already busy, but...

I wonder. We could at least do something with carton or paper and straws. Finding actual glass covers right now might be a bit of a long shot.
