I've been wantin a pair of those for ages, exept in Slytherin colours. But I haven't had the money to order a pair, plus I'm really new to knitting, and only know how to knit stich solid colours ):
Hehe, I'm a Slytherin as well, so I'll be making some of those as soon as I'm done with the 2nd of this pair. I'm making these for my friend for her birthday to go with the Gryffie scarf I crocheted for Christmas. XD
There are plenty of sites online to learn. I learned from a combination of my mom and magazines. Crocheting really isn't hard once you try it XD I personally find it a lot easier than knitting, but I like how knitting looks better so... ah well. I learned how to knit from a book as well. I'm sure if you try you can do it.
Ooh, that's cool. You must've done them on straights, then? I'm just guessing because of the seam. I've always wanted these warmers, but been too afraid to try circulars -- is there a good pattern for straight needles out there, or did you make this one up yourself? They look so good.
Yep, straights. I tweaked a pattern from a magazine I have. I'm really horrible at writing intelligible patterns but I could try to explain it if you & anyone else is interested.
