Avoid MySpace. I've found it to be a virtual cesspool that is full of people who, for the most part, speak like a really bad IRC session. :(
From what I've seen, most of the MySpace pages are reminiscent of the early days of the Web -- blink tags, annoying midi sound, horrible background images, and terrible page formatting.

MySpace has become a spammer's haven, not to mention, a perfect target market research site for folks 18-25.
