Seems like they'd be better off just raising entry prices.

And way better off selling them to the highest bidder.

Of course, they could always try spending less money... Nah, madness.

Near Año Nuevo there are a couple of U-pick fruit orchards. There's one less than half a mile away that has blackberries (olallieberries) and, I think, kiwifruit. And maybe 10 miles further south is strawberries. I think they're both owned by Swanton nowadays. But you should call first to see what's in season.

Castle Rock park, up in the Santa Cruz mountains, is really fun. There are some crazy rock formations that are great for climbing, either seriously with gear or just fooling around. (Wear mosquito repellant, though.)

I went to Castle Rock with yfdp last summer and we had a great time! I wish I were a rock climber.

So I guess you do need to come along to Año Nuevo and give us the docent lecture and we can pick fruit!

Although hiking is always more fun with other people, Mission Peak isn't exactly mountain lion central :-)
