I can drop my copy in the mail this week, assuming nobody up there bothered with buying it (yes, i do think that's possible, and yes, that does say something about the book.).

Well, if it's not worth it, don't waste the postage! Probably the library has it if my friends don't.

I think you mean "hacker" in a different sense in which I'm a hacker, but as a (Jargon-File-definition-style) hacker who also has an information law background, feel free to pick my brains (email is fine.)

Well, I mean like reading a draft or something once you have a draft. I mean, where would I start? :-)

As far as legal liability goes (not WRT security in particular, but quite germane to the question of liability for information), you should definitely read this case if you haven't already:
http://sims.berkeley.edu/courses/is205/s06/Readings/Cardozo%20v.%20True.pdf

And maybe the other "licensing and liability" readings from here too:
http://rosetta.sims.berkeley.edu:8085/sylvia/s06/view/205.complete
at least for background.

I WILL PR33MPT J00!

Kidding. I dunno what resources I'll need. I haven't even figured out the scope of the topic yet; I need to meet with the faculty advisor again (since she's the one who said "yeah, do your original idea as a backup, but here's the article I think you should do instead" and there's no arguing with her).
