I am a slow. slow. pitifully slow runner. (I run 9.5 min. miles, but I only run two! And then I feel like death.) If you ever want to run halfway around Green Lake before you give up gasping and then stop to look at the ducks and maybe stop for coffee and leisurely stroll the rest of the way around while feeling silly because you're still wearing running clothes but not actually running, give me a call!
When do you usually go? I'm thinking of going Monday before my first class (11:30!), Friday afternoons, and trying to work in Wednesday somehow, along with maybe either day of the weekend.
I run three times a week, usually Tues/Thurs/weekend, but I could totally modify that if it meant something! anything! to kill the boredom of running since my iPod broke.
I usually run in the evenings after I get home (~7-8 p.m.), but when I do convince myself to run in the morning (morning being any time between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.), I'm much happier for it.

This past fall:
Administration: "Listen up, this is a one-time deal. You can accept our offer of retiring, with a retirement package, today; or, if you don't accept right now, you'll be out the door with nothing." Keiko: "Here's my two weeks' notice. Screw you." *goes off and does art in Walla Walla*
This may be base libel, but that's how the story came off to me.

Is it bad that this makes me smile? I didn't even know Keiko, but just based on what I heard about her, I'm kind of happy to hear that she's gone from Whitman.

Having also never met her much less taken a class from her, I've heard universally that she's a taskmaster; however, some of her slaves students have also praised how much she made their work improve. Even so, yeah, whoever they scramble to find to replace her can only be more easygoing.
I don't have Paypal, and Paypal sketches me out so I'm loath to use them. Hrm. I sense asking for a check is a pain in the ass, so if nothing else, it'd be awesome if you donated to SHN directly.
Actually, I can send you a check, that's fairly easy, just watch for it as it might look like junk mail. I don't have your current mailing address. Can you send it to me via email?

My sister will be interested in the Keiko passing. She spent a significant amount of time doing stuff for that woman.
