The format of the upcoming Grand Slam is (and is traditionally):

- 1st round = all of the poets who qualify (8, or all applicable poets. This year it's 9 poets)
- 2nd round = Top 7
- 3rd round = Top 6

Top 4 (or five if taking a 5 person team) are the team. This year it's top 4.
Scores are cumulative all the way through.

Because of a slight miscommunication of the rules, last night's final results are amended, as well as the pool for the Grand Slam.  What basically happened was that an old rule that should have been removed from the official rules page of the WB site prior to the start of the season wasn't, so the sliding points thing IS being applied to last ( Read more... )
