In Which Ben gets Kidnapped... again...

He waited until Anna got into the shower that he pulled out the piece of paper that Jake had given him. He looked at the symbol and pulled up a website about pagan symbols that Alec had shown him a few months ago. He cross referenced it with angels, and found that the symbol was used to banish angels and bar them from certain places. Something demons would do to protect their alters.

"I'm gonna go get gas and food," he called out to Anna as he shoved the symbol into his jacket pocket. "If you need something, call me. I'll be back in an hour."

It took him about ten minutes to find the mapco and he pulled into the spot furthest from the store. As he got out and put on his sunglasses, he spotted Jake leaning against the side of the building near the propane tanks.

Ben quickly started the gas pumping, tossed his jacket into the passenger seat, and walked over to the man.

Jake smirked as he watched Ben approach. "So I take it you did your research and realized I wasn't kidding."

"Yeah. How did you learn about that?"

"How does anyone learn about anything? Life takes you down a path, and you adapt or get eaten." Jake looked around a bit, then motioned for Ben to follow him. "That symbol is only a temporary solution. It'll banish away the angel and their host. You have to draw it in your own blood though for it to work."

"Any particular order?"

"No. Just has to be exact. Angels aren't too thrilled after they get banished, and they enjoy smiting people." As they approached the Ford Explorer, Jake turned back to look at Ben. "Now here's what I want from you, Ben. I'll teach you everything I know that you can use to save your father, but when it goes down, I want to be there. Got it?"

Ben thought a moment, then nodded. "Yeah. Got it. What's the first thing we do?"

"Pretty simple actually. We get something that the angel wants, hide it from him, and wait and see if he'll take the bait."

Something stirred in the pit of Ben's stomach. "I don't know what Michael might want."

"No, but I do."

The back door behind Ben opened and he spun around. Almost instantly Jake grabbed Ben's arms, pinning them to his side while a tattooed man leaned out, reaching a glowing blue hand at him. "No... NO!" Ben started to shout as the hand touched his face.

"Shhh, everything will be ok..." the djinn cooed gently as Ben's eyes rolled up into the back of his head and he went limp in Jake's arms.

"Move," Jake ordered, picking Ben up and placing him in the backseat. The djinn quickly strapped Ben into the car as Jake pulled out a charm and placed it around Ben's neck. "Let's see what Daddy does when you suddenly disappear off the map," Jake smirked, then shut the door and climbed inside the driver's seat. They took off quickly.

Meanwhile, Layla was left where Ben had parked her. The gas had already shut off, and the key was in the ignition. His phone was in his jacket, next to the crumpled symbol in his pocket for someone to find. Just as Jake planned it all along.

jake, ben's been kidnapped again..., ben
