In Which Dean is a Passive-Aggressive Asshole (But Not to Jo)

Dean hadn't said a word to Ruby the entire way to the Roadhouse. Not that there was much to say, really. He just turned up the music and drove, not having anything to say to her, and her not having anything to say to him. It wasn't until they had pulled up to the Roadhouse that he turned to her, nodding over the top of the seat

Jo was where she always was, behind the bar. Even if the place was empty. She raised an eyebrow as Dean walked in.

"Short trip." She said. "Already time to go?"

"Yeah, well -- things went smoother than I thought they would," Dean said with a nod. "Ruby's in the car, so as soon as you're ready to go -- "

He let the sentence trail slightly as he moved to sit on the side of the bar. He was willing to wait. In fact, the less time he had to spend in the car with Ruby the better.

Jo frowned slightly at Ruby's name. She still didn't trust that demon, even after all these years. Demons weren't to be trusted anyway.

"I've got my stuff in the back. I've just got to shut down the games and lock the place up." She untied her apron and tossed it down on top of the bar. "Why don't you tell me your game plan?"

Yeah, well, she wasn't the only one. Which was why Ruby was sitting between two Devil's Traps in the back seat of the car. But Sam trusted Ruby, and Dean trusted Ruby enough to have her help in getting Sam back.

"At the moment? There isn't really one. I'm still waiting on a location from another friend of mine, and she said she'd contact me as soon as she has one. If she's any kind of smart, she'll go there and check out the place herself first, so that we know what we're getting into, but Bela can be a bit of stupid sometimes, so who knows -- either way, she's trying to find Sam first, and with the demons we're dealing with, that's gonna take some time."
