In Which Dean is a Passive-Aggressive Asshole (But Not to Jo)

Dec 05, 2008 22:49

Dean hadn't said a word to Ruby the entire way to the Roadhouse. Not that there was much to say, really. He just turned up the music and drove, not having anything to say to her, and her not having anything to say to him. It wasn't until they had pulled up to the Roadhouse that he turned to her, nodding over the top of the seat.

"Get in the back."

Ruby turned and arched an eyebrow at him. "Excuse me?"

"Jo is getting in," Dean said with a sigh. "And you're getting in the back."

"You're an asshole, you know that?" she replied, but she didn't argue. Instead, she just pushed herself up and climbed around to the back seat, crossing her arms in front of her chest as she settled into the backseat. After that, Dean gave her a smug smirk, before pushing open the door.

"I'll bring you back a beer -- make sure there's no holy water in it."

Ruby arched an eyebrow slightly, before frowning. "Why can't I just go in and get one myself?"

Dean just grinned. "Check the door, sweetheart."

Ruby just frowned, confused, before turning back to the door, and her eyes widening when she spotted the Devil's trap etched into the door. "You smug son of a bitch."

His grin didn't falter as he pulled back. "That's for screwing over my brother. And making sure you don't run off on me." Ruby glared back at him, finding the Devil's trap also put on the opposite door.

"Asshole."

"Bitch," Dean smirked, before closing the door, and making his way into the Roadhouse, looking for Jo.
