The Lonely Back Roads

Nebraska was a quiet state, even with the trouble these days. The back roads were mostly dead now. Few people were brave enough to travel where there weren’t lights every couple of feet. Alec snorts. "You sure you don't mean Ben?" He didn't doubt for a second that Dean had loved him every bit as much as he had loved Ben, but Ben had been a real, solid part of dean's life longer. "What? You don't think he's fluffy."

Jinx whuffles at Alec indignantly.

"Both of you." She corrected herself. Dean did love to talk about his kids. She raised an eyebrow. "He's a Hellhound, Hellhounds don't do fluffy."

Thinking for a moment, Jo turned around and started flipping through the files she had collected and the research she'd done lately. She grabbed something she thought appropriate and handed it over. "Looks like there's some sort of Hellion in Texas. Tearing people to shreds. How's that?"

He flipped through the files, then read it slower. A grin spread across his face, a little on the feral side. "Awesome. Looks like fun."
